Downtown Condo Under Construction

Aqua Residences Forming Work Started

After considerable time, effort and money filling mine shaft voids and hammering out tons of bedrock, the six-storey condominium on Chapel Street is now in the forming stage.

The complex will house 20 residences and was sold as a condominium that would have no strata fees, as two units were being left as rentals, with that income covering strata fees.

The project has been sold out for quite sometime and is expected to be complete in 2015. This is right beside Nanaimo's oldest high rise on Chapel Street and right across the street from the proposed Hilton Hotel on Front Street.

  1. Very interesting and new concept in condos. I would be interested to learn what the average price is for one of these condos.

  2. Seen an est. sheet with prices ranging from 189,000 to 525,000 for a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom. They have all the bells and whistles you can imagine, fully equipped gym, top of the line finishing's, you name it. Wonder how the people (who have already paid for the units) are going to feel when the proposed Hilton hotel blocks all their waterfront views each unit is supposed to have. I know I would be ticked to put it mildly after spending that much money for something I am not going to get.
