Getting outta' here
I was just getting ready to fire up the BBQ on my porch when I heard a noise that caught my attention. What to my wondering eyes did appear but a mama coon and her two tiny kits.
Apparently she was moving them to new digs and traveling through my backyard in the process. When I first saw her she was moving one of her kids from the hollow of the tree across the backyard. It took her many, many minutes to feel she could return and safely move the other as my presence with the camera was clearly causing her some concern.
I don't know where she moved them to, but I made sure my fish pond cover was tightly secured for the night.
