Single detached housing starts in Nanaimo decreased in Sept. from 29 in 2013 to 16 in 2014 while multi-family units decreased from 17 in 2013 to 4 in 2014 resulting in a combined total of 20 units in 2014 as opposed to 46 units in 2013.
YTD Total Starts Up 55%
Year to date single detached increased from 158 in 2013 to 234 in 2014, multi-family increased from 130 in 2013 to 213 in 2014 for a combined total increase from 288 units in 2013 to 447 units in 2014.
