Former Mayor John Ruttan only managed to garner 3212 votes compared to Bill McKays' 6400 votes. While Councillor Ted Greves managed only 4879 votes and Councillor Pattje managed 6447 votes. The minimum required votes to earn a seat on council was 6548.
Clearly the community is not satisfied with the performance of this city council over the past three years.
In addition incumbents Diana Johnstone and George Anderson chose not to seek re-election in this civic election.
