Armed Robbery - Terminal Park Liquor Store

Nanaimo RCMP are looking for three male suspects who attempted to rob a liquor store, fired a sawed off shotgun and discharged bear spray on an employee on Saturday. The attempt took place at 10:23 am on Saturday January 10.

Police were on the scene minutes after the incident at the Terminal Park BC Liquor Store but the suspects had already fled the store. The canine unit tracked the suspects to Poplar Street where they lost the scent, presumably they had a car waiting.

No medical attention was needed for the employee hit with the bear spray and no customers were in the liquor store at the time.

The three men are described as: suspect 1 with the shotgun — 5’5″ tall, red bandana, red hoodie, black sweat pants, medium build, race unknown; supsect #2 — 5’7″ to 5’9″ tall, black hoodie, dark pants, sunglasses, white bandana, race unknown; and suspect 3 with the bear spray — 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, red hoodie under black nylon jacket, white bandana, white track pants, race unknown.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
