Very sadly, a great woman who patrolled downtown Nanaimo’s
streets for close to six years has died.
Shannon Demore, well-known to building owners and merchants,
shoppers and street people, working for Footprints Security through By-Law
Enforcement, lost her short battle with cancer January 2nd.
She was only 54 years old.
Shannon, a dear friend, moved to Fernie last year to be
closer to her family, but shortly after was diagnosed with the horrible
disease.
She will be sorely missed and always in our thoughts.

Much love and prayers for her family and friends - I worked with Shannon briefly back in '07 when I was still with Footprints . She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed . <3
ReplyDeleteI never did talk to her but would see her frequently in the downtown area. She always greeted me with a smile as I passed by. She seemed very friendly with everyone and you felt that when she smiled at you, she meant it. Rest in peace.
