Nanaimo Swap-O-Rama-Rama Feb. 9/15

Swap-O-Rama-Rama

St. Andrews United Church, 311 Fitzwilliam St.
Admission: $5 with a bag of clean used clothing
swap-o-nanaimo.ca

Swap-O-Rama-Rama (SORR) is a not-for-profit clothing swap combined with "creation stations" staffed by local artists & makers, where swap participants can learn skills to modify, alter or embellish their "new" clothes. Swap-O-Rama-Rama is about inspiring people to see themselves as creators instead of consumers - and all the good things that ripple out from that, like building community connections, developing skills and reducing waste. SORR is a commerce-free zone where clothes, materials & knowledge are shared freely. Check out this great piece that Shaw TV produced about our first swap.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is presented by the Nanaimo Arts Council, with the support of the Nanaimo Recycling Exchange, Mid Island Co-op, St. Andrews United Church, Serge & Sew, Farbricland and Senini Graphics.

If you would like to donate clean used clothing or sewing & crafting supplies to Swap-O-Rama-Rama, please visit our donations page for complete details and contact information. No donation is too small and all will help make this event a great success. We are also looking for community volunteers to help set-up, clean-up and work at the event.
