POST-IT POSITIVE FOR ANTI-BULLYING DAY!

NANAIMO, BC. Woodgrove Centre will launch a new community initiative to help create awareness for Anti-Bullying Day on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm near the water clock.

Woodgrove Centre is supplying sixteen participating schools with pink post-it note pads and stickers. Classroom projects may vary, but all are encouraged to write positive post-it note messages and share them with other students, teachers, friends, family members or in the community. “I’m excited to learn what the teachers and students do with their positive post-its. Each individual project may differ but the message is the same, teaching the importance of being kind to one another,” shared Woodgrove Centre’s Marketing Director, Nola Dunn. Several retailers in Woodgrove Centre, The City of Nanaimo, Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce and the Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools have also chosen to support this campaign.

“Expect respect and a safe education is the message from the Ministry of Education’s anti-bullying program, ERASE Bullying,” said Steve Rae, Board Chair of Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools. “As a district we strive to live that message in our schools and out in the community. Thanks to Project Post-It Positive and our schools in helping to raise awareness for this cause.”
