Bastion Gets Ready For Another Season

Bastion gets a fresh coat of paint and new pavers

If you've noticed the Bastion looking a little 'fresher' these days, it is because of the fresh coat of paint it recently received. The paving stones are also being replaced with new ones, replacing the tired cracked ones that were there last year.

Renewing the pavers meant the area was open to run new water and drain lines to the drinking fountain and also install a new one.

Bastion open from May 15 - Labour Day weekend 10am - 3pm

The Bastion season opens on Friday, May 15 highlighting this year’s International Museums Day, an international event celebrating the role of museums in society. The daily cannon firing will commence and there will be a visitor information kiosk as well as exhibits inside the Bastion. Open daily 10:00-3:00 through to Labour Day weekend. Admission by donation.
