First market of 2015 season
While not all stalls were filled, and the weatherman could have been more helpful, the first day of the season is a sure sign we are headed into another great summer in Nanaimo.
I stopped by the Farmship Growers Co-op to grab some locally grown produce and wasn't early enough to get some first of the season asparagus..... maybe next week. It's great to see the variety of locally grown produce that is available so early in the year. They will be at the market every Friday, so be sure to stop by early for the best selection. Good quality and good prices.
Note their new hours this season; open from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
