Colliery Dam Supporters - In Victoria

Colliery Dam Supporters Take It To Victoria

A group of about 20 Colliery Dam supporters travelled to Victoria in support of the Nanaimo Council delegation meeting with the Deputy Minister to make their case for granting a stay of the Water Comptrollers order.

The show of support was organized by Terry Wagar and Louise Gilfoy while the provision of a chartered bus was provided by another dam supporter who at this point shall remain anonymous.

This meeting was authorized by a motion of council at the May 19th Special Open Council Meeting and as late as yesterday it was uncertain if the meeting would proceed. At this point there is nothing to report as to the outcome of this meeting.
