Overnight work required June 11 to June 28


BC Ferries is currently upgrading structures in Berth 2. The work includes construction of two new berthing dolphins and upgrading the foot passenger ramp.

Some overnight work is required to complete both projects before the end of June. After hours work will be limited to equipment maintenance, welding, crane support and possibly some drilling. However, no pile driving during overnight hours is required.

  1. Nanaimo has a Noise Bylaw, 1994, no. 4750. It prohibits making or causing noises or sounds that disturb the quiet, rest, peace, enjoyment or convenience of individuals or the public. Noise due to Construction shall not becaused before 7am and after 9pm Monday to Saturday and before 9am and after 9pm on Sundays.
