You're invited to the Cruise Ship Terminal
On Friday, June 5/15 Nanaimo will host the Celebrity Infinity for the second time at the Cruise Ship Terminal on the waterfront and the Nanaimo public is invited to come out and see the terminal and some special events planned for the day.
There will be a car and tractor show during the day with some special events planned from 12:30 - 2:30pm which includes on location broadcast by the WAVE and a static display of a Helijet helicopter. There will be some #ExploreNanaimo passports to be given away and of course some Nanaimo bars, while quantities last.
So, if you haven't seen the cruise ship terminal or the terminal when a visiting ship is in port, this is your chance. Go along Front Street to Esplanade and then down Port Way (over the trestle) turn to your right and then take a left where you will find lots of parking near the Cruise Ship Terminal.
The cruise ship will be in port from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, so bring your camera and your very best 'Welcome to Nanaimo smile'.
