Google Announces 'Alphabet' - New Parent Company
This Huffpost article reports that Google is reorganizing under a new parent company - Alphabet, which reflects it's founders' desires to pursue ventures well beyond the Internet search company to include things such as self-driving cars and cutting-edge medical research.
The company's lucrative Internet advertising sector produced most of their $14 billion profit on their $66 billion in sales last year.
