Nanaimo Search & Rescue Recruitment Session

NANAIMO SEARCH AND RESCUE

NSAR will be holding a recruitment information session on 17 September, 2015 from 1900 to 2100 (7PM to 9PM) at the SAR hall located at 195b Fourth Street. The purpose of the session is to inform potential members as to the purpose and mission of NSAR and the expectations for new members.

We look forward to meeting with interested members of the community who are interested in serving their community in a meaningful way.

Nanaimo Search and Rescue (NSAR) is looking for new members with a long term attachment to the community, who have experience in the outdoors, first aid, swiftwater, or rope rescue and who are able to commit to 100 hours per year of active volunteer participation.

NSAR also has an auxiliary component and NSAR is looking to expand that component. Auxiliary members have an interest in supporting the society, its operations and aims through active participation in the society and logistical support of the operations of the SAR Group through application of their personal skill set or through fundraising.

NSAR has been serving the people of Nanaimo and surrounding districts for 25 years. NSAR is a completely volunteer entity which is funded by community donation and support. NSAR is a society governed by an elected Board drawn from the members both regular and auxiliary.
