Feeding Wildlife Forbidden in Nanaimo

Nanaimo residents reminded not to feed wildlife

"The City encourages residents to have respect for wildlife and understand their natural foraging behaviour."  -  Rod Davidson City of Nanaimo

Residents of Nanaimo are reminded that feeding wildlife is not permitted in the City.  This includes giving food to deer and feral rabbits.

Feeding wild animals puts them at risk or injury from predators and road traffic.

Feeding deer can lead to injuries to humans.

Human food is not suitable for wildlife.
