New Light Long Overdue

Old Victoria Road & Highway
Haliburton Street & Highway

Watch for new light if you are heading south

If you haven't been headed south on the highway for sometime keep you eyes open for the new light at the intersection of Old Victoria Rd./Haliburton Street and the Island Highway South.

This intersection has been in need of a traffic control for quite sometime and I am sure anyone trying to turn south onto the highway from Haliburton Street will be praising the improved and much safer access.

Of course, it still could have some issues with people used to travelling along at highway speed not expecting to have to stop until they get to the lights by Rona.

  1. Yep, you can't get enough lights on the highway. I think there's something like 67 of them between Nanaimo and Victoria. Makes the trip very pleasant and enjoyable.
