New CEO Hired At NEDC
The Daily News is reporting that a new CEO has been selected for the Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation. Since it's formation in 2011, this will be the third person to take the helm of the local arms-length corporation funded by city taxpayers. The corporation receives $1.4 million annually from the city.

John Hankins of Calgary will be coming to NEDC on Jan.4/16. He was the VP of a non profit organization, Calgary Economic Development in Calgary from 2007 - 2012. He also has his own consulting company specializing in economic and business development.
