Nanaimo’s Largest
Networking Luncheon!
Everyone is Welcome!
“We’re working with the Vancouver Island Conference Centre
and our designers to create a warm Christmas atmosphere inside the ballroom. We
have promises that the chef is pulling out all the stops for an old-fashioned
Christmas menu. There are over $30,000 worth of auction items so you could
virtually do all your Christmas shopping right there,” reported Kim Smythe, CEO
of the Chamber. “From vacations in Ucluelet and Victoria, golf packages, tons
of mixed merchandise and so much more – there’s more variety here than you’ll
see in any store.”
People begin to gather around 11 am and network to the
background holiday tunes of the Vancouver Island Symphony Choir and the Nanaimo
Youth Choir. As the buffet line opens up, the Wellington Jazz Band takes the
stage. The buffet selection – built around a delicious turkey dinner -- will be
a headliner, but if past Christmas feasts are any example, the dessert buffet
will be a close runner up.
Chamber luncheons usually feature news and updates from the
organization and a keynote speaker but Christmas gives everyone a holiday from
that format. Instead, it’s networking around the lunch table, shopping the
silent auction tables, a brief word from the luncheon sponsor Coastal Community
Credit Union.
Never an event to be missed, because it’s not really
Christmas until you’ve had lunch with 400 close, personal friends at the
Conference Centre with your Chamber of Commerce. Everyone is welcome, whether
you’re a Chamber member or not.
Tickets available at the Chamber 250-756-1191 ext. 2 or by
emailing renee@nanaimochamber.bc.ca
