Guns, drugs and cash seized
The
search of home early this morning, utilizing the Vancouver Island Emergency
Response Team (ERT) for entry, has been completed and a number of
significant items were seized; most notably, 2 shotguns, 3 ounces of illegal
drugs, contraband cigarettes and $1300 in Canadian
currency.
The
34 yr. old male found in the home and currently in police custody faces an array of
firearms charges, charges under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act and
Tobacco Act. A judicial bail hearing will be held tonight where police will
recommend he be held in custody.
