Huffpost reports that McDonalds is opening standalone 'McCafes' which are in direct competition with Starbucks and Tim Hortons. The fast food giant has seen market share erode as consumer habits change.
The McCafe is smaller than a regualar McDonalds and serves a very limited McDonalds menu which includes Egg McMuffins but will primarily serve coffee shop fare including croissants, bagels and salads.
