Unsolved crime from December 1st to December 11th

Nanaimo file # 2015-35042 On Tuesday
December 1, ammunition and two firearms with trigger locks were stolen from the trunk of a vehicle
parked in the 400 block of Maple St. The firearms
were a Ruger 10/22 and Axis .308.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35811 On
Wednesday December 9, 400 litres of furnace oil was stolen from an
oil tank located on the side of a rental property at 745 Park Ave. The property
is currently vacant and under renovations.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35025 On Tuesday
December 1, a chainsaw was stolen from a gold Ford F150 parked at
1650 Terminal Ave. No serial number or descriptors
were provided.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35000 On Tuesday
December 1, a large yellow generator, rented from Robinson Rentals,
was stolen from a residence being renovated at 726 Nicol
St. No other descriptors were provided.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35210 On
Thursday December 3, a break and enter was reported to a home under
renovation in the 400 block of Stirling Ave. The home
is bare and entry was made through a side window. The break in most likely
occurred overnight on Tuesday December 1st . Taken was a red and
black Milwaukee drill and hammer drill in a black and red hard
case.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35398 On
Saturday December 5, a home under construction in the 600 block of Cadogan St was
broken into. The break in occurred sometime between 9 pm and 9 am on the
6th and entry was made through a front window left unlocked. Taken
was a Makita belt sander, Rossitol nail gun, Makita drill set, Makita
oscillating saw and a black took bag full of various hand
tools.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35539 On Sunday
December 6, a garage situated at 451 Kennedy
St was broken into. Entry may have been made by pushing the garage door
up. Taken was a black Behringer keyboard, model # K450FX.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35639 On Friday
December 7, a home in the 400 block of Girvin
St was broken into with entry being made by forcing open a kitchen
window. Taken were a black Samsung LED Smart TV, jewellery and approximately 15
watches. One of the stolen watches was a Porsche 356L classic chronograph with a
brown leather band.

Nanaimo file # 2015-35273 On Friday
December 4 at approximately 5 pm, a limited edition mahogany monopoly set was
stolen from Luis Poretta Fine Arts and Antiques,
located in the North Town Centre Mall. The game is valued at $1000 and is one of
only 500 that were made.
10.
Nanaimo file # 2015-35816 On
Wednesday December 9, a vending machine located in the emergency
room at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital was broken
into. Several hundred dollars in coins was taken. Video surveillance was later
examined and showed a male at 2:42 pm attempting to break into the machine
for 45 minutes. The video was not able to provide a description of the suspect
male.
