Female robbed at gunpoint at local ATM
The
Nanaimo RCMP is investigating a robbery involving a handgun at a downtown ATM.
At
9:33 pm on Wednesday January 6th, a female was making an ATM withdrawal
from the TD Canada Trust located in the parking lot of the Port Place Mall, when
a male approached holding a black handgun.The suspect whose face was concealed
with a black ski mask, demanded she give him her cash. With money in hand
the suspect turned and was last seen running through the parking lot. Officers
along with Police Dog Services attended. A track was established but ended in
the area of Promenade Drive, located near Cameron Island off Front
St.
The
suspect description is as follows:

Caucasian,
approximately 5 ft.7, overweight
· dark
ski mask, dark baggie clothing and red basketball jersey
·
dark
coloured winter jacket with a fur collar.
