Beban Park Dog Off-Leash Closure

Temporary closure for Beban Park dog off-leash area

The dog off-leash area located in Beban Park will be closed temporarily at the end of March and beginning of April while City crews perform maintenance and updating. The grass will be removed, the King of the Hill play feature will be rebuilt and a new play obstacle will be added.

Park users are encouraged to use one of the dog off-leash areas located in Beaufort Park, Cable Bay Trail, Diver Lake Park, Wardropper Park, May Richards Bennett Pioneer Park, Northfield Park, St. George Ravine Park, Invermere Park and Westwood Lake Park.
Depending on the weather, repairs will take approximately four days to complete.

"We're estimating the work will take four days to complete but this depends on how cooperative the weather is. In the meantime, please enjoy one of Nanaimo's other dog off-leash areas."  -  Al Britton City of Nanaimo

  1. Anyone know when it'll reopen or if it's even closed yet?
