Honouring Const. Sarah Beckett

A regimental funeral is planned for next Tuesday in the Q Centre in Colwood for Constable Sarah Beckett who was killed while on duty when a pickup truck collided with her cruiser.

The crash which occured in Langford at about 3:30 am last Tuesday claimed the life of the 11 year RCMP member who is also a wife and mother of two young children. She had just recently returned to duty following maternity leave.

A criminal investigation is currently under way and the driver of the pickup truck has been released with no charges being laid at this time.
