Downtown 'Parklet' Back For Another Summer

 If you have been downtown recently you will have noticed the colorful 'Parklet' has once again sprung up on Commercial Street in front of a local eatery.

 This is on the opposite side of Commercial St. to Diana Krall Plaza which once again is looking like a vast concrete wasteland. Is anyone EVER going to come up with some creative ideas to make this space into something approaching it's potential??

 I understand that next month Nanaimo will be hosting an Architects conference and making better use of our downtown assets will be something they will be considering. Here's hoping!

    I feel like the next victim of a possible drone attack whenever I sprint across that horrible plaza, to get to the library. It has to be the blandest space I have ever seen :-(((
