Popular Public Art In Maffeo Sutton Park
Two very popular pieces from year's gone by
Both of the above pieces of art came into being as a result of the temporary art program sponsored by the city of Nanaimo (that's you and I brothers and sisters).
They both proved to be so popular with residents and tourists alike that they have become permanent fixtures in Nanaimo's première waterfront park, Maffeo Sutton and Swy-a-lana lagoon. They both have interactive features that have added to their longevity rather than simply being an object d'art to be visually appreciated.
I predict that the following two new objects this year have the same potential as they invite the passers-by to not only admire them, but to also interact with them.
