On display for duration of 2016 RAIC Festival of Architecture

The three parklets you will see on Commercial Street are not permanent installations and will be removed next week, going to VIU for display over the summer.

The parklets were all constructed by the VIU carpentry department based on the winning designs submitted during a competition sponsored by the RAIC. They are a part of the Festival of Architecture which runs through until June 11 being topped off with the Street Party on Commercial Street from 6:00 - 10:00 pm Sat. June 11/16.

The teams and schools will be receiving a cash award based on their final judging position. First, second and third place will be announced at the President's Cocktail Reception at 6:30 pm Friday June 10/16.

There will be a 'Peoples Choice' award based on ballots cast by the public this past Wednesday, it will be interesting to see if the Aspengrove entry has any home court advantage?
