Dale Schulz - Nanaimo - "As He Sees It" - June 1/16

Lifelong Nanaimo resident, professional artist and illustrator Dale Schulz 'sees' much of Nanaimo many of us simply walk by without giving a second thought.

Through the eyes of an artist the everyday can become almost magical and with a few simple photos of his daily walks, Dale captures and shares some of that magic on his Facebook page.

The following is the most recent example of what Dale sees when he walks about our lovely seaside community many of us just take for granted.

Dale's Post - June 1/16

I'm surprised at the number of shots I got today. I started our walk with a killer headache and wasn't sure I was even getting any good focus on my shots. BUT I think I caught some nice views of Nanaimo - at least from the South End and the Waterfront - and a couple on Albert Street.

Of note is the portrait I shot of a wonderfully interesting fellow that I met at the Boat Basin. His name is Roger and he lives on a sailboat in the harbour. A real salt.

I also caught pictures of food growing on our streets; and ‪#‎abandonedsofa‬; a couple bronze busts; nature going for it; and a lovely little piece of art on the boulevard on Albert Street.
