Dale Shulz - Nanaimo - "As He Sees It" - June 6/16

Lifelong Nanaimo resident, professional artist and illustrator Dale Schulz 'sees' much of Nanaimo many of us simply walk by without giving a second thought.

Through the eyes of an artist the everyday can become almost magical and with a few simple photos of his daily walks, Dale captures and shares some of that magic on his Facebook page.

The following is the most recent example of what Dale sees when he walks about our lovely seaside community many of us just take for granted.

Dale's Post - June 6/16

Here are the shots from our walk through Harewood and the Old City Quarter this morning. Though I saw a LOT of very interesting stuff to shoot downtown, the batteries in the camera I'm using died. (Of course I wasn't carrying any spares!)

I wanted to get shots of the new Rainbow Crosswalk and a couple new 'Parklets' installed on Commercial Street - Good Stuff!. That'll be tomorrow.

For today: A post detail on 5th Street; Arbutus bark on Harewood Road; 'Modern Art' on 4th Street; Mt. St. Peter from the side; Mitchell's Alley in the Old City Quarter; and the Eagles' Building entrance on Bastion Street.
