Gabriola School Rejected Israeli Student

An article in the Jerusalem Post claims that a trade school on Gabriola Island is practicing racism as they refused to accept a student because they are Israeli.

The article quotes Ms Pat Rokosh saying via email that "Due to the conflict and illegal settlement activity in the region we are not accepting applications from Israel".

Nanaimo Info contacted the school via email and received the following over the signature of Ms Rokosh:

"All communication was not profiled. After significant thought and listening to all interested parties, ISBA has decided to rescind any restriction placed on accepting students from Israel and apologize for any inconvenience.
ISBA remains acceptant to all and will continue to do so without restrictions".
