RCMP investigating home invasion
On Thursday February 16,
2017 the Nanaimo RCMP received a report of a home invasion which had occurred at
an apartment in central Nanaimo.
Investigators were told that three male suspects in a pickup truck
approached a resident outside the apartment building. The suspects threatened
the resident with hand guns and demanded they be let into the building. Once
inside, the suspects entered an apartment unit where they assaulted the three
adult male residents and tied them up.
The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cell phones, and other
property. The victims were left traumatized by the ordeal but did not require
medical attention.
The suspects were associated to a blue, approximately 2007,
Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The victims were able to describe two of the
suspects to a police sketch artist (attached).
