Search continues for Makayla CHANG
On Monday April 10, 2017 the Nanaimo RCMP Tactical Team will be assisting with searches on the outside properties located at 601 and 609 Bruce Ave. Investigators are also executing a search warrant on the residence at 609 Bruce Ave. The searches are in conjunction with the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Makayla CHANG.
The searches will focus on the residence located at 609 Bruce Ave and the front and back yard at 601 Bruce. Given the amount of time that CHANG has been missing and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, foul play cannot be ruled out.
Previously, Colliery Dam Park and Cat Stream Park was searched utilizing Nanaimo Search and Rescue (SAR) "We would like to thank SAR for their expertise, thoroughness and due diligence provided in searching those areas. " said Constable Gary O'Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
