BATHTUB WEEKEND

Come - have fun - and enjoy the FREE Victoria Crescent Street Fair in downtown Nanaimo Bathtub Weekend.
On Saturday, July 20 there will be a giant slide for the kids, bouncy castles, a big blow-up dart board, basketball hoops, a 60-foot obstacle course to swerve, climb and manoeuvre through. Children can have their faces painted, play games and take part in the Watermelon Eating and Egg Running competitions.
Adults can marvel at the dozens-and-dozens of classical, hot rod and weird and wacky vehicles. Nanaimo Search and Rescue will be on-scene to show off their equipment, so too Nanaimo Fire-Rescue, the RCMP and B.C. Sheriff Service.
On Crescent Stage, listen to the Nanaimo Fiddle Society or watch martial arts demonstrations.
You won't want to miss the famous Server's Race - a Bathtub Weekend tradition - right in front of the Queen's Hotel. Bar Staff from throughout the city will compete for the coveted trophy - balancing their drink trays, trying not to spill a drop, while they run from table-to-table.
