This is not the kind of story the liberal press in Canada usually gives much ink to but should be troubling to Canadians.
A father in Alberta asked a prospective babysitter for his children their age and gender. The father, did not end up hiring anyone as his need for a sitter changed. That did not stop the disgruntled applicant from filing a human rights complaint in 2017.
The fact the Human Rights Commission in Alberta has not dismissed the claim of course puts legal financial pressure on the father.
Only in Canada you say???
