FEMALE CANDIDATES SHUN MALE OPINION
The Canadian Federation of University Women's Nanaimo Chapter is hosting a women only all candidates meeting on Oct. 29.
The meeting is open to women only who are running for either city council or school trustee in the upcoming civic election.
For some reason it is felt this will provide a better forum for the women candidates to present themselves to the public and seek support.
It is not clear if the male voting public will be welcome at this women only meeting.
Editor's Comment: Does this mean these women don't feel they can hold their own with male candidates? What kind of hoopla do you think would come from the women candidates if someone were to propose a 'men only' meeting?
