Great Place For Family Stroll
There are few better ways to spend an enjoyable sunny, summer afternoon in Nanaimo, than strolling along our downtown waterfront where you can see all manner of vessels from the smallest kayaks to the largest ocean going yachts.You can stroll from the downtown inner harbour along the sea walk to Maffeo Sutton Park the home of Swy-a-lana lagoon and a great play ground for the kids where the Lion's Pavilion hosts entertainers throughout the summer.
This park is also the home of the World Famous Bathtub Races and the ever popular Silly Boat Races. The only thing the park could use would be more food vendors, if you agree, let your councilor know.
