Keep Fido On Leash Or Expect Fine

Animal Control Officers Step Up Patrols
Zero Tolerance Policy Enforced

The local Daily is reporting that the animal control services contractor will be stepping up patrols in city parks looking for dogs being allowed to roam off leash, and for owners not cleaning up after their pooches.

Apparently there have been many complaints coming from the Pipers Lagoon, Neck Point and Colliery Dam as well as Linley Valley. Inconsiderate owners are simply allowing their pets to leave 'landmines' all over the place which does nothing to enhance the enjoyment of the park for others.

Pet owners could find themselves with $150 tickets if they can't mind their canine companions and see they are kept on a leash where required and clean up after their pets.
