Tourism Nanaimo Has New Team Member


Kara Walsh Joins Tourism Nanaimo Team!

Kara Walsh has joined the Tourism Nanaimo team as Visitor Centre Co-ordinator, effective May 22, 2012. In this role Ms. Walsh will lead the Visitor Centre Teams currently operating out of the Port of Nanaimo Centre and the temporary kiosk located at 2450 Northfield Road.

Tourism Nanaimo under the NEDC umbrella, operates the Visitor Centre in partnership with Tourism British Columbia.

“Kara brings with her a wealth of tourism knowledge and expertise which will benefit the entire community,” says AJ Hustins NEDC Board Chair. “We are excited to have her join our team.”

Ms. Walsh studied Tourism at Vancouver Island University and has spent the last four years working with Tourism Vancouver Island within the Trade & Media portfolio.

The Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation is charged with marketing Nanaimo as the place to visit, invest and do business.
