Fire Forces Landing Nanaimo Jazz Flight

Forced return to airport due to engine fire
Thirty five passengers and three crew members aboard the 7:20 am flight from Nanaimo to Vancouver Thursday morning had to return to Nanaimo due to an engine fire.
Insturments warned of the fire in one of the engines, which was turned off and the fire extinquished. The plane then returned to the Nanaimo airport where they landed successfully with only one engine.
No one on board the flight suffered any injuries although the experience was harrowing for many.
