MACHINENOiSY, Vancouver’s premiere edge in contemporary
dance companies is spending two weeks in Nanaimo working with local youth to
create a work that shines the light on Gender, Identity and Community. Support
this opportunity for the voice of our local LGBTQ, Questioning, Or Not, youth to
rise and shout. The work is developed from June 29 to July 10 in Nanaimo with
local youth participants and under the direction of MACHINENOiSY and through
explorations of stories, exercises, conversation and the experience of
MACHINENOiSY’s travels as they have taken this residency across the province to
communities such as ours. Who are we and what do we care about? Be a part of the
discussion sparked by this event and let us know your experience at the
post-show chat.
