The organizer of the mid Island's Fight HST campaign is delighted with the results after only two days collecting signatures at Country Club Mall over the weekend.
In order to be successful they must collect at least 10% of registered voters, which in Nanaimo represents nearly 3900 people. After only two days they have been successful in collecting over 50% or the required number of signatures.
They still have over 80 days to collect the balance and have several other events planned in addition to the door to door campaign.
If you missed the signing on the weekend, you will get another chance today as signatures will be collected at Woodgrove Mall from 10:30 am - 6:00 pm.
