It Must Be Summer In Nanaimo

 Change rooms at Mansfield Park
City Water Parks Are Open Again

Effective June 4, 2010 the City's water parks will be open again to keep you cool on those blistering hot, summer drenched days Nanaimo is famous for.

The four City spray parks are located at Centennial Park in Departure Bay, Harewood Mining Community Park on Howard Ave., Deverill Square Park on Irwin St. and Mansfield Park at Blythe and St. Andrew's St.

The water features are open for play from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm daily until September 13 with the exception of the Harewood Mining Community Park which is available from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm June 1 - 18 but will extend to 9:00 am - 8:00 pm starting June 19.

To activate the water features, park visitors will need to press the push button timers. Parents are strongly encouraged to supervise their children and remember that washrooms and change rooms are not available at all locations.

If you see anything of concern at any of the parks please contact the Parks Department at 250-755-7515.

You can locate these and any of the city parks by using the map in the right hand column of this blog.
