Norwegian Maple Leaf On Left, Canadian Sugar Maple On Right
Seems some botanists don't think the maple leaf on our new $20's is a Canadian Leaf, but say it is a Nowegian Maple Leaf from the Norway maple which is an invasive species in Eastern Canada.
A senior botanist with Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre says the leaf on the Canadian $20 is notihing like any of the 10 maples native to Canada.
