Nanaimo Arts & Culture Economic Study

The Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) has awarded an “Arts & Culture Economic Impact Study” contract after an open and thorough RFP process.

This study will gather and assess data on employment, spending and other factors in order to measure the total direct, indirect and induced economic impact of the Nanaimo & Region Arts and Culture sector. This project also includes the creation of a template/process that will enable the NEDC to track the economic impact of the local arts & culture sector in future years; as well as project specific economic benefits of proposed new arts & culture projects, services or facilities.

Selected from a list of four proponents, Roslyn Kunin and Associates is a highly credible and accomplished team. Their vision for the project and overall value to-be-delivered secured Roslyn Kunin and Associates as the successful candidate for this contract. The Arts & Culture Economic Impact Study contract is valued at $19,740.

This Arts and Culture Economic Impact Study will serve the NEDC’s ability to provide timely and relevant information on the state of the regional economy and current business conditions. In addition to tracking general economic indicators the NEDC is interested in measuring the impact of key sectors in our economy, including the important local Arts and Culture sector.

The Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation is mandated to build a prosperous community through economic opportunity. The NEDC markets Nanaimo and region as an excellent place to invest, visit and do business.
