City of Nanaimo New Year's Eve

Get ready to ‘walk the plank’ at Finale 2011 the annual New Year’s Eve celebration at Beban Park. The pirate themed family friendly event will begin at 5:00pm offering a treasure chest full of activities for you to choose from including; swimming at Beban Pool or skating at ‘Rockefeller Centre’ themed Frank Crane Arena. Also included will be big screen video games, and crazy pirate crafts in Beban Social Centre.
 
Main stage performances will begin at 6:00 pm and will continue through until 10 pm. The line up will include Illusion Entertainment, Jangano Marimba Percussion group, children’s entertainer the ‘Purple Pirate’, followed by Nanaimo’s own Vibe Dance Troupe and the Braeden Marshal Band. To accommodate younger children there will be an 8:00 pm countdown. The house will continue rockin’ until the final New Years Eve countdown at 10:00 pm.

 
Finale tickets are on sale now and are $25.00 per family (maximum of 4) or $10.00 per person and are available at Beban Park. Don’t worry about cooking or feeding the kids before the event because there will be a wide variety of children approved foods on site sure to satisfy.
