EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONThe City of Nanaimo now has the ability to notify residents by phone in the case of an emergency. If you remember last November there was a 'boil water' notification which many people were not aware of through regular media coverage. This new system would call all residents on a phone list, advising them of a future emergency, and would tell residents what they should do.
It will only work for you however, if you are registered with their database. Your information will be kept private and will not be shard with anyone else.
