SATIRE WITH AN EDGE .... THE BABYLON BEE

While this website focuses primarily on events in the USA the quality of their wit and satire can be appreciated by most of us 'news junkies' regardless of which side of the 49th we call home.

These are just two current examples of their take on current happenings. Oh, that someone north of the 49th were as talented as this group.

While they are not necessarily partisan (they swipe at the right as well) I am sure some of their work will trigger a few. Their 'take' can put a smile on your face regardless of how serious the topic.

CANADA DAY ...... 2020

GOD KEEP OUR LAND

Viewing Canada today one would be hard pressed to know we once gave place and honour to GOD Almighty in our land. Being known as a Christian Nation actually meant something.

The peace tower in Ottawa bears testimony to the faith our fathers put in God and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. You will find the following phrases on the Peace Tower: East window: He shall have dominion also from sea to sea (Psalm 72:8) South window: Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. (Psalm 72:1) West window: Where there is no vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18).

When was the last time anyone in leadership demonstrated a real vision for the future of our land? It might be said that the people in Canada are in fact perishing.

The deliberate effort to distance ourselves from Christianity while subtle still demonstrates how far we have fallen. For example Canada Day used to be known as Dominion Day which had a direct tie and reference to the scripture above the east window in the Peace Tower.

Opening school days, parliament, council meetings and most gatherings included the reciting of the LORD'S Prayer. Swearing an oath on the Holy Bible was yet another example of place being given to the God of Christianity. Now we can just make a promise to tell truth.

The original anthem written in 1908 by Robert Stanley Weir shows the depth of relationship between man and God in his generation. They stand in stark contrast to what has been adopted as our official national anthem in 1980.

O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love thou dost in us command.
We see thee rising fair, dear land,
The True North, strong and free;
And stand on guard, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.

(Refrain)
O Canada! O Canada!
O Canada! We stand on guard for thee,
O Canada! We stand on guard for thee.

O Canada! Where pines and maples grow,
Great prairies spread and lordly rivers flow,
How dear to us thy broad domain,
From East to Western sea!
Thou land of hope for all who toil!
Thou True North, strong and free!
(Refrain)

O Canada! Beneath thy shining skies
May stalwart sons and gentle maidens rise,
To keep thee steadfast through the years
From East to Western sea,
Our own beloved native land,
Our True North, strong and free!
(Refrain)

Ruler Supreme, Who hearest humble prayer,
Hold our dominion within Thy loving care.
Help us to find, O God, in Thee
A lasting, rich reward,
As waiting for the Better Day,
We ever stand on guard.
(Refrain)

Parliamentary Opening Prayer

This is a portion of the prayer that was originally read in Parliament before the doors were open to the public. It was changed in recent years, but makes clear the place given to the Christ of the Holy Bible.

O Lord our heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of kings, Lord of lords, the only Ruler of princes, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers upon earth: Most heartily we beseech thee with thy favour to behold our most gracious Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth; and so replenish her with the grace of thy Holy Spirit that she may always incline to thy will and walk in thy way; Endue her plenteously with heavenly gifts: grant her in health and wealth long to live; strengthen her that she may vanquish and overcome all her enemies; and finally, after this life, she may attain everlasting joy and felicity; through Jesus Christ our Lord—Amen.

Interesting Comment On The Days In Which We Live

THE FOLLOWING QUOTE IS ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS SOWELL

Whether he himself made the statement or not doesn't change the truthfulness of the sentiment expressed:

"Have we reached the ultimate age of absurdity where some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, while other people are not held responsible for what they themselves are doing today?"

Covid Cure ........... Collateral Damage

Clearly people have been dying as a result of drug abuse long before Covid came along. A case could likely be made that the measures to deal with Covid have contributed to an increase in the number of drug deaths.

The number of other health issues and deaths that are collateral damage will likely never be known, and if known, never revealed for public scrutiny.

If it turned out our leaders nearly completely destroyed out nations for what is arguably a very bad flu season they would never allow that information to come to the surface.

Given the current state of 'journalism' in the nation, don't expect any revelations coming from serious investigative journalism any time soon.

Panic, Fear and Hysteria --- no way to run a railroad!

There are some hard questions that Dr. Henry and Adrian Dix need to address now that we should have a reliable data base with which to conduct a post game analysis.

First Question: I know this sounds cold but needs an answer: how many of the deaths were people who already had health issues? How many were people already confined to care facilities? How many 'life years' were actually lost at the time of death? How many people died 'with' covid-19 rather than 'from' covid-19? How many people who had been infected had mild to no symptoms? How many had flu like symptoms which they simply rode out and carried on? How many actually required a hospital stay to deal with the infection? What actual treatment was offered to those who were infected, but didn't need hospital time? What treatment was given those in hospital? Were any anti malaria drugs used as a treatment? If so, what were the results? If not, why not?

Second Question: How many cases of cancer have gone undetected as a result of a single focus health system? How many people have died of heart health issues because of cancelled life saving procedures? Why were hospitals operating well under capacity during this event? How many people have had to deal with pain and discomfort because of cancelled knee surgery? This is but a few examples of what could be called collateral damage resulting from the myopic approach to health care delivery these past months.

Third Question: How many infections and deaths could have been avoided by shutting down care facilities and isolating the high risk population? What kind of analysis was done as to the overall health effects that a failed economy would cause? Stress is but one of the most likely results of the shutting down of nearly all economic activity. How do people feed, cloth and house themselves if suddenly they have no income? How much more damage has been done as a result of domestic violence and increased alcohol consumption? Suicides?

I can clearly remember at the start of the shutdown someone saying to Dr. Henry and or Adrian Dix that an eye surgery had been cancelled. This meant the person was likely going to lose their sight. Adrian Dix commented to the effect, he sympathized but that we all had to do our part. I remember wonder at the time if he would have been so glib had it been his eye sight that were now in jeopardy?

It is noteworthy that everyone who decided to kill the economy and put the whole economy into a tailspin weren't suffering any of the consequences as the rest of the public. They didn't loose their jobs. Drain their savings account just to get by? Could they always pay their rent/mortgage etc. etc. They weren't really in it with the rest of us.

Leslyn Lewis -Cancel Culture Evils

Conservative Leadership Hopeful
addresses 'Cancel Culture'
Leslyn Lewis

Cancel culture is ruining our understanding of the past and until someone is willing to stand up to it, we will see our history washed away in a tidal wave of “progressive” revisionism.

I plan on fighting back.

I was deeply disturbed by the vandalism of the statues of Sir. John A. Macdonald this past week.

I know that this nation that I love is not perfect, and I know that our heroes of the past had their failures. After all, our nation was built by real people.

As long as humans have tried to achieve great things, humans have also been failing. The best way to build a stronger and more united society is to build upon those who have gone before us while learning from their failures.

Washing away their mistakes simply means we will forget our history and will be doomed to repeat it.

Residential schools and other wrongs committed against Indigenous people were not the only failures in our nation's past. In the name of building a strong Canada, atrocities were committed against Chinese rail workers, Jewish refugees and Punjabi immigrants, along with many others.

We remember these things because we want to learn from our past. In Vancouver, a monument sits prominently to the Komagata Maru, the ship of Sikhs, Muslims and Hindus who were denied entry to Canada under anti-Asian immigration laws.

We do not tear down this monument because not only does it remind us of the perseverance of those who continued to fight to make Canada their home and help us build this nation, but because we do not want to forget our past, successes and failures alike.

This is at the heart of what Cancel Culture is all about. It is more than simply attacking people on Twitter, or getting them taken off the air for an action from their past.

It is a deep-seated arrogance that claims ultimate virtue for simply being “with the times”. It completely ignores the idea of learning from our past, while pretending that we have no sins that we would want forgiven ourselves.

Many people have written to me over the last few months saying how excited they are to see me unleash fury on Justin Trudeau for wearing blackface.

I am sorry to disappoint them, but I have said multiple times that I forgave the Prime Minister, just as I expect him now to graciously forgive every Conservative who made a mistake in their past.

But I’ll put this on the record as well: The next time he brings up something said in the House of Commons 12 years ago, or has his Ministers attack a Conservative for something they tweeted when they were 13, I will be there to hold him to account for his actions.

I will not stand by for a minute while the Liberals dig up past mistakes and hold them over our heads. I have not backed down in the face of pressure during this campaign as I have never backed down to virtue signallers my whole life.

Let’s have real discussions in Canada. Let’s take an honest look at our past while being honest about our own virtues and failures.

We cannot keep the good of our nation if we throw it all away in an attempt to wash away the bad.

Let’s be honest.

Let’s keep being the greatest country in the world.

Let’s be the Canada that has drawn people from all over the world in search of freedom, peace and opportunity.

Note: Leslyn Lewis did not pay to publish this statement. It was posted on Facebook (and other places I presume). The reason for republishing it here, it is an example of what could be a fresh wind blowing on the Canadian political scene. I for one have grown very tired of the 'same old' coming from the 'same old'. Leslyn is certainly not the same old and may have a shot against the political establishment within the Conservative party.

Adrian Dix - Dropping the ball

Drug & Mental Health

Are NOT Policing issues

Hon. Adrian Dix

According to the government website:The Ministry of Health has overall responsibility for ensuring that quality, appropriate, cost effective and timely health services are available for all British Columbians.

The police are taking a whole lot of heat these days over how they are dealing with people with mental illness, drug addiction, homelessness etc. These same people while not all criminals are responsible for much of the crime we have seen in recent times.

Why the police are being singled out as the whipping boy for what is clearly a Ministry of Health and Department of Justice failing is beyond just or fair.

Hon. Adrian Dix is responsible and should be held accountable

While he can be seen nearly daily at the podium beside Dr. Henry with the latest covid blow by blow there are other issues he should be dealing with.

Dix is doing nothing but applying one band aid on top of another band aid in the form of supplying clean needles, injection sites, overdose kits and now an app to help drug users signal an overdose, even if they are unable to call themselves.

If you were walking down the street and encountered some tormented soul playing Russian roulette with a loaded revolver you wouldn't just stand by and wait to administer aid after they shoot themselves. That person would be taken into custody for their own safety and protection, and welcomed into a facility where they could get the help they need to be delivered from the demon of drug addiction.

To Dix's shame the Ministry of Health has no such facility available to welcome and treat these people who sooner or later will be successful in killing themselves. They will be killing themselves while Dix and his ministry keep opening another box of bandaids.

Instead of actually being able to deal with the health issues of mental health and drug addiction, the Ministry of Health will give an injection to counter the overdose, and then kick people back out to do it again. They are utterly failing these people and creating an untenable condition for the police to have to deal with.

Instead of criticizing the police for their handling of mental health and drug addiction issues Dix and his ministry need to provide the trained personnel to cope with these tormented souls AND a facility to provide them with the help they need.

Department of Justice and the Courts failing everyone

Again, police will take the heat for rising crime rates etc.while we ignore the revolving door on the court houses all over the province. Instead of actually removing criminals from society after the police have done their job of apprehension, the courts do everything they can to just kick people back out onto the streets to continue their life of crime.

Clearly justice delayed is justice denied and when people have been apprehended in the course of a criminal act, charges should be laid and the case dealt with quickly. No one should be denied their due process but the system as it now works would be laughable if the results not so serious.

The recent case in Nanaimo is a prime example as reported in an earlier post on this site. A fellow clearly with drug issues with outstanding warrants for theft and possession of stolen property is charged with obstruction and possession of a controlled substance.

The police do their job. The guy appears before the court and is kicked loose with a promise to return in three months! He has outstanding warrants, is clearly not supporting himself by lawful means, (here's a hint, the warrant for theft and possession of stolen property) and the same day is kicked back out onto the streets to continue doing whatever he is doing to support his drug habit.

So we shouldn't be blaming local law enforcement for the rising crime rate but the Department of Justice needs to be held accountable for their failed role in keeping the general public safe by apprehending, incarcerating and rehabilitating people who clearly are not living up to all that God intended for them.

RCMP Racist ---- Fact or Political Gamesmanship?

RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki

Says RCMP Racist
can't give an example ...

RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki in a CTV story on the subject of systemic racism in the RCMP gave the following example:

Liberal MP Greg Fergus asked Lucki to clarify whether there was systemic racism in the RCMP.

"Yes, there's absolutely systemic racism," Lucki said. "I can give you a couple of examples that we've found over the years."

She went on to give an example involving the RCMP's physical abilities requirement evaluation.

"It's an obstacle course, in there there's a six foot mat that you have to do a broad jump, and when we put the lens on it and reviewed that physical requirements test, evidence told us that the average person can broad jump their height," Lucki explained.

"So, of course, how many six foot people do we hire? And there are people in all different cultures that may not be six feet, including, there's not a lot of women that are six feet tall, that would not be able to get through that exam, that type of test."

Not satisfied with the answer, Fergus pressed Lucki further. Unable to provide clear examples of systemic racism in the force, Lucki called on the force’s chief human resources officer Gail Johnson.

What does "RCMP is systemically racist" mean??

Is this really the best the Commissioner can come up with to support a statement that casts a shadow over the very institution of which she is in charge?

Suggesting that broad jumping a six foot long mat isn't fair to those who might be vertically challenged hardly supports such a inflammatory claim as she and the PM have made about the RCMP.

Does anyone actually know what they are saying when they claim the RCMP is systemically racist?

Arresting first nations and people of colour who are behaving outside the law doesn't support the claim either. Saying there are a disproportionate number of first nations or people of colour having police encounters, doesn't prove anything either.

Tarnishes & slanders the entire force

Such volatile statements paints the entire force as a group that delights in targeting people of colour and first nations and takes particular pleasure in beating and abusing them, and in some cases killing them.

While some prejudice may exist with some members that hardly rises to the level of systemic racism within the RCMP.

This same force claimed to be systemically racist provides policing on reserves where they are indeed risking their own lives to serve and  protect the very people they are being accused of being against?

Fact or political gamesmanship?

A common tactic for those in leadership is to keep a population divided and fighting among themselves in an effort to divert attention from themselves.

The number of flip flops on the subject of systemic racism in the RCMP would suggest there is a political will and pressure being applied to senior members of the force to read from the official song sheet.

Perhaps the PM has far too much influence in this matter, which could also explain the apparent pass he got with regards SNC.

CANADA vs USA COVID DEATH RATES

These images are taken from an online site that tracks covid stats daily. There are countries between the USA at #1 and Canada at #19 which are sorted in order of total cases reported.

While the accuracy of many of the stats being put out regards this outbreak is near impossible to determine the above figures are what they are.

It would appear that the Canadian health care system does not perform nearly as well as the US when it comes to successfully treated people infected with this virus.

In Canada 8.3% of those infected died, while in the US 5.1% of those infected died.

Stories emerging today about people being counted as dying 'from' covid when in fact they died 'with' covid make the case count somewhat suspect. There are cases of people with underlying health issues who were already suffering a terminal ailment as being counted as a covid death.

Logically, there is political capital to be lost if the numbers are not as high as possible to warrant the unprecedented steps of shutting down entire economies with no consideration given the long term consequences of those actions.

Systemic Failure Of VIHA & The Courts

RCMP Make Arrest

Local RCMP released a story of an arrest made on Monday which involved the assist of citizens using boat hooks to corner the fellow.

The story is a good news sort of piece but shows what is systemically wrong with the justice system, not systemically wrong with the RCMP.

The local officers get a call of a chap sleeping on a bench. He proceeds to light a pipe in front of them. He makes a break for it, runs across a street and jumps into the water. After a chase and arrest the fellow is taken into custody.

He is charged with obstruction and possession of a controlled substance. It turns out he has two outstanding warrants from Nanaimo for theft and possession of stolen property.

So, after the police do their job what happened in the 'system'? He was released the same day with a promise to appear in court in September.

This is a glaring example of the systemic problems not only with the court system but also our local and provincial health authorities.

The police do their part and arrest the 'bad guy' who has a history of theft and clearly has a drug issue.

So, what does the justice system or the health system do to address a person who obviously will be back on the street doing whatever he has to do to buy his next hit?

There is a lot of accusation of systemic racism within the RCMP, which can't be defined by anyone in a manner that is convincing. It does seem a good talking point to score political points but other than that seems a baseless claim.

The local health authority is systemically flawed at the core demonstrated by their inability to provide proper care for people with mental health and drug issues.

The justice system is systemically flawed at the core as demonstrated by it's inability to remove an obvious repeat offender from society.

CANADA'S CREDIT RATING DOWNGRADED

Debt 115.1% of GDP Expected

As reported in the Globe and Mail:

Fitch Ratings has downgraded Canada’s triple-A credit rating to AA+ in light of “much expanded” 2020 deficits due to billions in emergency spending during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The decision reflects growing public debt at both the federal and provincial levels.

The downgrade of Canada’s long-term foreign currency issuer default rating is the first change since Fitch assigned Canada a AAA rating in that category in August, 2004.

“The rating downgrade reflects the deterioration of Canada’s public finances in 2020 resulting from the coronavirus pandemic,” the agency stated. Wednesday’s announcement says Canada’s rating outlook is stable.

Fitch expects the coronavirus response to raise Canada’s consolidated gross general government debt to 115.1 per cent of GDP, up from 88.3 per cent of GDP in 2019.

Travel Won't Open Despite Plea

Canadian Press Article

"Trudeau’s words came after an open letter from the Canadian Travel & Tourism Roundtable.

In the letter, CEOs from companies like Air Canada, WestJet, Scotiabank and TELUS urged the prime minister and premiers to take action on resuming travel throughout Canada, as well as internationally.

The CEOs said Canada was entering a new phase of its pandemic response where the country “must find a responsible way to co-exist with COVID-19” until a vaccine is found."

Comment: The fact the only assurance given in this presser, is pointing to the fact Canadians are receiving money from the Federal government in various forms. It would be more reassuring if some clear directions were being given as to getting the economy going again. Sooner or later the government runs out of 'our' money to keep giving to us.

The fellow being interviewed says he learned to fish from his father who lived to be over 100 years old.

The floating debris is not from the residents rather it is coming from the land based city discharging their garbage.

Perhaps something could be learned from this floating village of over 200,000 people more than half of which are children.

CANADA TO EXTEND CERB PAYMENTS

From a CP article:

The federal government is “working on a solution” to extend the Canada Emergency Response Benefit, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday (June 15).

The CERB pays out $500 per week (or $2,000 per month) for people who have lost their job or earn no more than $1,000 per four week period due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The benefit currently maxes out at 16 weeks and began on March 15, meaning it will run out for many on July 15.

Good or bad news for CANADA

The announcement that the federal government is looking to extend the Canada Emergency Response Benefit is either good news for Canada or bad news, depending on your viewpoint.

If you are facing homelessness and starvation because you no longer have the option of working to supply your needs, this is obviously good news at least for the short haul.

If however, you are in the camp looking for the way this government is planning to get the economy restarted and some form of normalcy to return to Canada, this is most discouraging.

It would seem the Trudeau government has no plans to get Canada back to work again, any time soon. Claiming the country can't get back to normal because of covid, simply is no longer credible. Saying the country can't get back to normal because of a complete lack of a plan in Ottawa is credible.

Dr. Leslyn Lewis - Take a knee

Dr. Leslyn Lewis
"But if people are allowed to gather together on their knees in a call for justice, then we must allow people to gather together on their knees in prayer."

Dr. Lewis a candidate in the running for the leadership of the Conservative party posted the following on her social media page. Dr. Lewis raises some thought provoking questions worthy of some consideration.

This morning, hundreds of thousands of Canadians gathered in front of their computers to partake in worship services due to COVID-19 health restrictions.
As a whole, Canadians have followed our political leaders and health officials throughout this crisis and its devastation on our economy.
Anyone who broke guidelines was swiftly and publicly shamed, if not fined or threatened with legal actions.
Over the past week we saw the same health officials and political leaders that wouldn’t allow churches to meet in parked cars expressing that mass gatherings and protests should not just be allowed, but encouraged.
The Prime Minister himself ignored social distancing guidelines to take a knee at a demonstration in Ottawa, surrounded by thousands of protesters.
Watching health officials and politicians reverse course so swiftly this week leads us to conclude:
Either their recommendations and guidelines were heavy handed and unnecessary, OR they were so eager to gain the approval of a large electoral block of voters, many of whom are people of colour, that they were dishonest with them about the health risks of the protests and demonstrations.
In fact, Canada's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam, instead of warning against protesting in large numbers, simply suggested that demonstrators consider wearing masks and limit yelling, because "shouting and making loud projections can potentially increase the risk".
These messages line up exactly with plans that churches had already put forward to various government as guidelines for reopening.
Yet not only was no reopening plan granted for churches and other religious gatherings, the elected officials themselves didn't even follow their own rules when joining in the protests.
The inconsistency is maddening.
I support the rights of Canadians to protest. I support the right of every Canadian to take a knee.
But if people are allowed to gather together on their knees in a call for justice, then we must allow people to gather together on their knees in prayer.
If these protests are not a danger to the public health and those participating, then our officials owe an apology not only to people of faith who are still prohibited from gathering in any meaningful way, but also every Canadian who has been kept from the bedside of a dying loved one.
Canadians are reasonable and we are willing to make sacrifices of our freedoms for the common good. But our leaders must be accountable and transparent, and if they have restricted our freedoms without reason, they need to answer for it.

Starbucks Closing 200 Canadian Stores

Company Takes $3.2 Billion Covid Hit

Trying to adjust to the 'new reality' coffee giant Starbucks is dealing what what they expect to be a $3.2 billion sales hit in this quarter. This will translate into a $2.2 billion operating income decline.

They will also be closing 400 of their outlets in the US as they try to reinvent themselves by opening smaller 'pick up' stores which don't have indoor seating.

Starbucks is being closely watched as a barometer of customers willingness to get out of their houses and open their wallets for their favourite latte.

In Starbucks primary market, the US, sales for May were off by 43% with 95% of their stores operating.

Comment: 200 Starbucks that won't be coming back, means a considerable number of jobs that won't be there, when/if the Canadian governments ever reopen the economy. If this is an example of the hurdles a large, well funded corporation is facing, it puts into focus the challenges facing the smaller mom and pop outlets.

THE FOLLY OF LIVING A LIFE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

One definition of folly is: lack of good sense or normal prudence and foresight.

All of western society owes it's standard of living and lifestyle to the blessings that have flowed through the knowledge of God.

The person and personality of God was revealed to all mankind through the person of Jesus, the only begotten son of the living God. Anyone wanting to know God's intentions towards man, need look no further than the life lived by Jesus.

Contrary to common misconception, Jesus did not come to show us HOW to live but rather how to DIE that we might LIVE. As is the case with many things of God, our intellect really can not compute nor comprehend His wisdom and unfathomable love.

We are witnessing the folly of relying upon our own knowledge and excluding God from involvement in our lives, in the here and now. Many who believe in Jesus, mistakenly think He came to show us how to live a 'good' life in the here and now that we might one day die and receive our reward in heaven in the afterlife.

The true Gospel of Jesus Christ is that He did not come to show us how to live but the need to die if we are to inherit the kingdom of God. It sounds like a paradox ..... we must die, if we are to live! That is the essence of a scripture verse, paraphrased: I am crucified with Christ, yet I live, but it is no longer I who lives, but it is Christ who lives IN me.

The example of the life of Christ, is a life totally surrendered to God our Father so that we may indeed have life and have life abundantly. Jesus was the only man to walk the face of the earth that was tempted as we are, yet he was without sin. Why? Because he was surrendered to the will of God.

Why did God not wish for man to sin? Did He not want us to experience the many pleasures we associate with sin? Of course, not, but rather because He, who is a loving, kind father knows that all sin eventually leads to death and that is not what He wants for any of His children.

When God made us, He made us in His image and gave us a free will, with which we could decide what we would chose to do. As scripture tells us, He has given us the choice of life or death, and that choice is indeed a choice.

Nonsense you may say. Our upbringing, our culture, our circumstances are ultimately what decides how our lives are going to turn out. That is yet another example of the folly of man. What determines our life's outcome can be influenced by upbringing, culture etc. but what eventually determines our life's course is whether we will acknowledge the existence of God Almighty and the fact that He is God and that we are not.

Once again the truth is spoken in the Holy Scriptures which say: the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The starting point is to acknowledge God and fear Him (this does not mean be afraid of Him, but rather be in Awe of Him, when we consider that everything that has been made, including our entire universe, was in fact MADE by Him) that is the starting point of knowledge.

When we choose to believe carefully crafted fables as to who man is and how he came to be we are choosing death rather than life, and we do that in our own folly.

God knew that man would sin, and that that sin would be a barrier of separation between man and God. For that reason He sent His only begotten Son, in the person of Jesus, who was fully God and fully man. He came to earth the same way as all men, through the womb of woman, and lived his 33+ years the same as any other man who has ever lived. He was NOT super human, He was just as human as all of us, but He was yielded to God all of his life. His knowledge of God came the same way as it did to all men of His time, through the study of the Holy Scriptures which God had entrusted to Moses and the Prophets.

After living a sinless life at the age of 30 years He began His earthly ministry through which He showed all mankind the very heart of God the Father. He went about doing good, healing ALL those who had been oppressed of the devil. Everyone who came to Him were healed of all many of sickness and malady. In that, He demonstrated God's perfect will for all of humanity.

We do not live sinless lives and therefore we separate ourselves from God and a knowledge of Him. We accept all manner of lies to justify our separation to our own hurt. Our lives of sin demand our deaths and eternal separation from the kingdom of God. Yet, in that we were sinners, God sacrificed His one and only Son, in our place, so that His death paid the price for OUR sin. By accepting that simple, but difficult to understand truth our sins are forgiven and no longer form a barrier, separating us from God.

Today, the chaos and turmoil we see embroiling the world is the direct result of our lack of knowledge of God. Instead of choosing life through our knowledge of Him, we have chosen death by relying on our own understanding. We are all like sheep who have gone astray and are walking blithely unto our own destruction.

The only answer for the world today, is the same answer for the world since before the creation of time. It is coming to the knowledge and reverential fear and awe of God Almighty, and accepting the sacrifice that was made on the Cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of our sin and inviting God in the Person of Jesus the Christ, to come and have His place within each and every one of us.

Right now through our folly, stubbornness and ignorance, we are choosing death. By accepting the finished work of the Cross of Christ and the Blood that was shed for our sin ........... we are choosing life.

Today you can choose either life or death ............ only a fool in his folly would choose death.

To prove to yourself the truth of this little writing, simply in the quietness of your heart, call out to Jesus to come and save you from your sin and folly. If prayed sincerely from your heart .......... He will answer you in a way that is undeniable and you will know that you know that you know.

God Bless all who read and take this instruction to heart.

Dr. Bonnie Henry ....... Please Explain ......

Only 50 cars at a drive in
and everyone must stay in their cars

Yet thousands can be packed-in to protest
and that is OK?? This is the Vancouver protest.

100's attend protest in Nanaimo Park
and that is OK??

No Covid Outbreaks From These Protests

It would seem that the continued paranoia that still grips the province and our Health Minister and Health Officer are being proven to be unfounded by simply observing what is happening at these large protest rallies.

Serious Charges About Dr. Anthony Fauci

Arguably one of the most influential people in the White House these past few months. Apparently he and Dr. Brix were the ones bearing the news of impending doom from the covid virus to President Trump which ultimately led to the shutting down of a vibrant economy.

Dr. Judy Makovitch, who is a very credible scientist has publicly made serious charges about Dr. Fauci and the fact he is making no attempt to dispute her claims adds credibility to her warnings.

This whole matter of a mass vaccination being needed to fend of, what is turning out to be a over-hyped virus raises suspicions as to the motives behind this rush to vaccinate. Our own Prime Minister is also beating the same drum about not returning to normal until everyone is vaccinated. We apparently have ordered 37 million syringes in anticipation of a mass vaccination program in Canada.

Listen to what Dr. Makovitch has to say and decide for yourself if she seems a credible source for her claims. She has an impressive background and seems anxious to have her concerns aired in the public forum. Again, the fact that Dr. Fauci is making no public attempt to call her out adds credibility to her claims.

There was a petition being circulated in an attempt to get the attention of the US government to call Dr. Makovitch as a witness to serious charges being levied at Dr. Fauci.

Since these allegations have become more and more public Dr. Fauci is conspicuously absent from the public eye, with the exception of a few tv interviews in which he seems to change is story about the virus and it's 'inevitable' return.

Claims of an inevitable return are suspect given how little the medical professionals seem to know about the disease or how to successfully treat it. Hydroxychloroquine has been a drug in use for over 50 years for treatment of other disease and there are many reports of it being a treatment for Covid 19 both as a preventative and a treatment measure. For some reason there seems resistance from Dr. Fauci and others to allow the use of this medicine as a form of treatment. Claiming it can have serious side effects, seems to ignore the fact that ventilating patients also has serious side effects, with a death rate of over 85% of those intubated.

The last chapter of this page in history has yet to be written but the more we know about it, the more it seems we have over reacted and the damage to our society from the 'cure' is far greater than the disease.

Maybe the MOB Will Get What It Wants?

From A Facebook Page

Word is fourteen Minneapolis officers quit today, and forty-six more are filing for early retirement.

Their words before they left were:
“You're on your own.”

I used to be firmly in the “suit up and protect them anyway” camp. Today, a part of me just wants to let them have what they think they want.

Virtue Signaling As A Marketing Ploy?

Lego suspends 'promotion' of Police sets

Lego's affiliate marketing company indicated that over 30 toys representing police officers, firefigthers, criminals, emergency vehicles and buildings were to be removed from "sites and any marketing ASAP".

Lego moves to correct incorrect reports

Bike Co. stops sale of police bikes

Fuji Bikes which is one manufacturer that supplies police forces are claiming to refuse to sell their bikes to police forces any longer in support of social injustice. While they are a popular brand with police forces they are by no means the sole supplier as several other companies also supply this market.

Once the rioting settles down it will be interesting to see if this company is acting on deeply held social beliefs or if this was just marketing using a bit of virtue signaling.

Beam us up Scotty ... the place has gone mad!

Perhaps a Police Hiatus is in order??

If all these calls to unfund police, stop selling them bikes, quit stopping riots and looting etc. are widely held by the general public who rely on the mainstream media as a basis to form opinion; then perhaps all police forces should take a week long hiatus to see if that improves matters!

Of course that is a tongue in cheek statement dripping with sarcasm as the law abiding general public is begging for the police to restore order so once again the streets would be safe. Safe from who? Safe from all the anarchists and layabouts who have contributed nothing to this country and are doing their level best to tear it down.

Even handed policing only works when you are dealing with logical, level headed people which is not applicable with the current mob that is trying to seize control of the country.

Shame on our leaders who are doing their best to foment division and civic unrest with their subtle and not so subtle efforts to stir up racial animosity in our country. Perhaps on their part it is a form of diversion so no one notices how poorly they are running our once fine country.

Covid 19 Conspicuously Absent Among Protesters

It would seem the dreaded pandemic that has crippled our nations and is responsible for untold health issues (stress, drug abuse, suicide, missed medical procedures, financial ruin etc.) has decided to show it's support for the current protests that are racking the nations.

Funny, this contagious, killer of nations seems to be totally absent from the thousands and thousands of out of work folk who are flooding the streets in protest.

Could it be, we have all been sold down the river??

June 6 1944 D Day Invasion

4,414 Lives Lost Paying The Price
For What Is Being Thrown Away

On June 6 1944, the largest seaborne invasion in history took place as the first step in liberating France from Germany and later the rest of Europe.

There were 10,000 Allied casualties that day with 4.414 confirmed dead as men made the ultimate sacrifice to put an end to the tyranny that was Hitler's hell.

Today in our very own Canada we are watching our freedoms being stripped one by one as an 'elected' minority government is behaving like an unopposed tyrant, out of control.

We have made a mockery of the freedom that so many souls paid so dearly for some 76 years ago.

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

Credible Voices???

Kids can go to school ...... but at drive-ins
staying in your car isn't far enough apart!!

OK to protest ...... just don't yell!

Dr. Bonnie Henry in British Columbia has given the OK for kids to return to school but on the other hand doesn't think people can maintain distancing in their cars at a drive-in movie??

Dr. Tam our Federal health authority says it is OK to participate in protests, just hold up a sign instead of yelling! So, it is OK to gather in what could be massive crowds as long as you don't yell??

It is this kind of advice that has to make you wonder if those in charge really know what they are up to?

WHAT HEALTH OFFICIALS FEAR THESE DAYS

Crowds at Osage Beach, Lake of the Ozarks Memorial Day Weekend

Vancouver BLM Rally May 31/20

Do officials fear a massive Covid-19 outbreak or
Do officials fear there won't be a Covid-19 outbreak??

For many months now all government and health officials have been telling Canadians just how deadly this brand of coronavirus is, to the point of shutting down the whole economy and instilling fear at levels never before seen.

In British Columbia the kids are going back to school, albeit with spaced out desks, arrows on the floor and lines at the sinks etc.

At the same time, people wanting to attend an event at a drive-in movie are told they have to limit the number of cars as for some reason being in your car is not considered being distant enough??

We can go to the grocery store and of course the government liquor store and have been able to do that from the get go. However, at the same time we can't get a haircut or go to a public beach or park??

There was also the conflicting message about the value of wearing a mask. Don't wear a mask ........ unless you work in healthcare, in which case it protects YOU, but if you are a regular citizen they won't protect YOU but will protect everyone from YOU ............. then more recently, seems when we go out we are told to wear a mask if we can't keep the obligatory two metres apart.

More and more studies (mostly being done in the USA) would indicate that the covid-19 pandemic has really been no more than a bad flu season. A 'liberal' way of attributing deaths to this coronavirus has most likely inflated the number of deaths attributed to this virus.

In British Columbia for example during a four month period where typically over 11,000 people will have died, less than 170 have died with covid-19. You will note this is 'with' covid-19 and not 'from' covid-19.

Social Distancing Is Absolutely Necessary To Save Us ....

unless of course the above two examples of people practicing anything but social distancing, don't lead to a major outbreak of this dreaded virus. Then what? Will our leaders have to admit they have acted in a state of panic-driven haste that will inflict untold harm in the long haul of much greater magnitude than this virus?

Collateral damage from the panicked response include increased stress related illness, depression, suicide, increase alcohol and drug abuse, increase domestic violence, missed health check ups, postponed surgeries, an economy that may very well be as bad as the great depression..... and on and on the list could go.

Putting so much power in the hands of a single health professional is completely unfair to that person, and making such major decisions without balanced economic and social consequences has led to what is going to be a very dark time in Canadian history.
