No Stripper For Langford Pub

Owner Cancels Contract With Manager

Public pressure may have caused the owners of a pub in Langford to cancel the lease with the bar operator who had planned to introduce strippers to the bar tomorrow.

The Times Colonist account says the owners declined comment but the bar manager will be operating the bar for another 90 days without the strippers and then will be out of the business.

The bar manager is quoted as saying "It's a tough industry, it's a dying industry, I want nothing to do with it."

It will be interesting to see if Nanaimo's purveyor of fine spirits can reverse his fortunes with the addition of erotic dancers.
