Stats Canada Census Job Applications


Statistics Canada is now taking applications for a variety of supervisory and non-supervisory jobs for the 2011 Census.

These are ideal jobs for: students, recently retired persons, stay-at-home parents, and those wanting to supplement their income. The rates of pay range from $14.72 to $18.04 an hour plus authorized expenses.

They offer:
  • flexible work hours
  • competitive wages and
  • work in both rural and urban area
Specific job requirements and qualifications, as well as pay rates and periods of employment vary by position. The following census jobs are available throughout Canada:
  • Enumerator
  • Crew Leader (Supervisor)
 You should apply if you meet the following:
  • 18 years or older
  • a Canadian citizen, or in possession of a valid work permit or permanent resident status
  • knowledgeable about your community
  • can travel locally
  • can work evenings and weekends
  • if you enjoy working with people
  • are well organized and thorough
  • want temporary work with flexible hours close to home; and
  • are interested in a job that counts.
